Install Midnight Controls Mod

This guide covers the normal desktop Java workflow for Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Fabric installation

1. Install Fabric Loader for your Minecraft version.
2. Install Fabric API if required by the selected MidnightControls build.
3. Download MidnightControls and MidnightLib when listed as required.
4. Place the compatible JAR files in the profile’s mods folder.
5. Launch the Fabric profile and open the controls menu.

NeoForge installation

1. Install NeoForge for the exact Minecraft release.
2. Download the NeoForge MidnightControls file, not the Fabric file.
3. Add required libraries listed on the official file page.
4. Launch the NeoForge profile and verify the mod list.

macOS and Linux

Use the same mod-loader logic. The main difference is the location of the instance folder. Modern launchers usually provide a button to open the correct directory directly.

Android and iOS

Standard mobile Minecraft editions are not the regular target for this Java mod-loader workflow.
